Getting Started

As an new IT support staff member you should do the following:

  1. Read the Technical Introduction.
  2. Subscribe to the mailing list - this mailing list has been set up to facilitate the sharing of information, ideas, problems and to enable open discourse on various technical issues.
  3. Attend the periodic meetings.
  4. All those with formal responsibility for subnets are listed on the Subnet Administration database. Please ensure that this information is correct and up to date. We rely on this information to contact departments in case of problems or for official announcements. It is the responsibility of those contacts to then disseminate this information as appropriate to their Faculty, School or department.
