Students - Connecting while not at UWA
|
Many UWA resources are available via any internet connection, however, for some it is necessary to restrict access to UWA students only. There are a number of ways that UWA students can access these systems when not at UWA. - Proxy
For access to restricted websites, you may be able to use the UWA Proxy. |
| - SNAP VPN
Virtual Private Networking makes a different type of connection to the UWA network, and may be required for access to more complicated UWA systems. |
| - Students - eduroam
eduroam allows staff and students from participating institutions to gain network access using their standard username and password just as they do at their home institution. A laptop computer with wireless is required. |
| - Other ways
If you do not have a connection to the internet at all, you will have to obtain at least dial up access. You can do this with one of the many Internet Service Providers. |
