Student Accounts
UWA Students have a range of accounts. Below is a summary of the centrally provided accounts. You should also check with your lecturer or local IT Support if they provide any other accounts.
|
Central UWA Student Account
Your basic student account that is generated automatically . It provides you with an email address through which important UWA information will be communicated to you. It uses your Pheme username and password, and details are provided to you when you activate your Pheme account. |
| |
Full Service Student
Account
You can upgrade your central UWA Student Account to a
Full Service account (which still uses your Pheme username and
password). This enables you to use the UWA Proxy, UWA dialin
service and register your account for a SNAP Account. NOTE:
There are CHARGES associated with using a Full Service
Student Account. |
| |
SNAP Account
A SNAP Account lets you use the SNAP Wireless and
Wired access point while you are at UWA, and the SNAP VPN
while you are not at UWA (eg, from your home ISP). It uses
your Pheme username, but has a DIFFERENT password for
security reasons. NOTE: Charges associated with using your
SNAP account are charged to your Full Service Student
Account. |
