Getting Help as a Staff Member

How does IT work at UWA?

Information Technology Services (ITS) is responsible for providing essential central or core communications and computing infrastructure and services to the University community.

Other IT services are provided and supported at a local level by many sections of the University. So the services that are available to you can vary depending on your section of the University, and the service you require.

Who do I contact for help?

The first place to check is with your local IT support staff.

For most of central administration, all IT support is provided by ITS. For those not supported directly by ITS, contact your Faculty to determine how IT is structured in your area, and who you should contact for support.

Further infomation can be found on the local IT Support page.

There are a number of Frequently Asked Questions regarding core and Univeristy-wide services run by ITS.

Is my local support provided by ITS?

You will be able to confirm that your PC is managed by ITS by looking for a label bearing the letters ACSxxx, ADMxxx or ITSxxxxx on your computer, where the x's denote the number. It will have been placed in a highly visible position with easy accessibility for the user, usually on the front or top of the computer box.

If you have any problems with the performance of any of this equipment please contact the ITS Service Desk.

If your PC is not managed by ITS please contact your local IT Support Staff.
