Cyllene FAQs

Why is my cyllene username expiring? How do I renew it?
Cyllene expiry is NOT linked in any way with employment contracts or student enrolment. Such expiry dates have been set by your sponsoring school/discipline/unit and extension of that date must be authorised by them. You cannot request your own extension (unless you are Head, School Manager or registered with UCS as an authorisor) and it is YOUR responsibility to contact your sponsoring unit. The request for extension of expiry date must be in writing, either email to support@ucs.uwa.edu.au (preferred) or paper (internal mail to Cyllene accounts M014). The request must come from the Head, Manager or other registered authorisor for your sponsoring unit. If email is used, it must come DIRECTLY from the address of the authorised person and from a mail session that has been accessed by password. It is possible to send mail from some mail programs without using a session logged in with a password but such mail is not acceptable for this purpose as it could have come from anyone. Nor is forwarded email acceptable, as such mail can be edited en route. Warnings of expiry are sent by email to the cyllene username on the 3 Fridays preceding the expiry date. The email warning contains information similar to what is above. Additionally, webmail will display a warning of expiry at every login beginning 13 days prior to expiry. | Back
