What are the disk quotas on Cyllene?
Both departmental and personal accounts are subject to the overall disk space policy - ie a department has a TOTAL of 150 megabytes available for use of ALL department members for ALL purposes. Each individual account has a maximum storage capacity of 10 meg but this is for TEMPORARY storage only (otherwise the department would be able to have less than 15 users if we allow some space for transitory material as well). However, whether disk space usage of individual accounts is "temporary" or "long term" is only monitored when a department exceeds its quota. If a department wanted to expand the space of its departmental web account this could have the quota increased appropriately. This would make less space available overall to the rest of that department's users. If the remaining quota was insufficient, a department can pay for additional quota at the rate of $10 per 100 megabytes per annum, payable in advance with a minimum time of two years. This is NOT available to individuals. |
