Why can't I delete messages?
The most likely reasons for this are: - You are not following the steps in the item above.
- You have used all your disk space.
- You are using webmail from an incompatible system.
If you have used all your disk space, you need to reconfigure your mail program to use a different method of deletion. - In Options/Mail, under Message Options, select the item Deleting and Moving Messages.
- Click the box at the beginning of the line
When deleting messages move them to your trash folder...
to remove the tick - Click Save Options;
- Click the INBOX icon to return to the inbox.
Then to delete messages follow the steps in the question How do I delete messages? Please be aware that older Macs running MacOS9 or lower are not compatible with the standard webmail. If you are using such a system, you will need to revert to the old version of webmail. Similarly, some browsers running on MacOSX have problems: Safari is recommended in this case. |
