Central Network Access Staff Account
A Central Network account has 2 levels of access, depending on whether your local desktop support is provided by ITS or by your local IT section. If you are unsure whether ITS provides your local support, please check the Local Support Contacts page, or ask your administration staff or section head. If you are Contractor, Casual or non-UWA employee you will need to have submitted a Commencement of non-UWA Staff form to HR prior to requesting a Central Network account. ITS Supported StaffA Central Network account is required by Central Administration and Faculty staff who receive local desktop support from ITS. These staff will be provided with an email address on the Central Exchange server, access to a workstation on the Central Network, and access to a central file server for document storage. This account also enables staff to apply for central corporate systems such as TRIM and some HR systems. Access to individual applications rests with the officer responsible for that application. ITS cannot grant access to the application without the appropriate authorisation. To avoid delays with new staff members, the access form can be filled in prior to the staff member starting at UWA and a copy forwarded to ITS. As soon as the new staff member arrives, they should then read the Terms and Conditions and sign the original form. The form should then be sent to ITS. The account will be made available as soon as the signed form has been sighted by ITS. Non-ITS Supported StaffA Central Network account enables staff members from Schools and Faculties that are not directly supported by ITS to apply for access to UWA central corporate systems, such as TRIM and some HR systems. Access to individual applications rests with the department responsible for that application. ITS cannot grant access to the application without the appropriate authorisation. - Read the Terms and Conditions and sign the form to show that you accept them.
- Have it authorised by your departments Authorised Signatory

This account can also be upgraded to allow Work From Home access. |

Request Changes to User AccessThis form should be completed if any of the following changes are made to a staff member's contract, as changes may need to be made to their account: - An internal transfer to another department
- A change of position in your current department
- A permanent move to another department
- An expiration of employment
- A case of extended leave

| Is my local support provided by ITS? | You will be able to confirm that your PC is managed by ITS by looking for a label bearing the letters ACSxxx, ADMxxx or ITSxxxxx on your computer, where the x's denote the number. It will have been placed in a highly visible position with easy accessibility for the user, usually on the front or top of the computer box. If you have any problems with the performance of any of this equipment please contact the ITS Service Desk. If your PC is not managed by ITS please contact your local IT Support Staff. |
